  • Home must be located within reasonable distance from your place of employment.
  • Begin living in the house within 60 days of closing if financing with an FHA loan.

A secondary residence occupancy classification depends on how you occupy the property. To be considered a secondary residence, you must meet the following:

  • Must live in the home some part of the year.
  • Home can’t be subject to a timeshare or rental agreement.
  • Purchaser must have 100% control of property.
